http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071026/media_nm/californa_wildfires_apology_dc;_ylt=AmYLyt8K22ekdEVE7rEOlZRxFb8C

Pretty bizarre and a sad indicator of what American news has become (not that different from CCTV).

Onto anotehr bone of contention.

I do see a strange over-concern for the rich Mailbu hills burning juxtaposed to the lat big disaster: Katrina.

American "News"-economics: rich Malibu ='s more concern than middle, working class and poor New Orleanians.

Sucks fore everybody, but had it been New Orleans burning in 2005 the "concern" form the mainstream media would have been noticeably subdued, as evidenced by converage of the Katrina.

Puts things in perspective for sure.
And here I came home all in a bad mood just because I was still in China. Not so bad after all.

delicious tags are good for keeping up to speed on this: http://del.icio.us/tag/fires
